The road to Leh

It was minus one last night, we slept in a tent.
We stopped in a Tibetan restaurant made from an old parachute. We went over a high pass which was seventeen and a half thousand feet above sea level. We all got altitude sickness, which in kids language is described as 'high ground sickness. We all got a headache.
We went for another two and a half hours, then we got stuck in soft sand. The driver dug out the sand and Dad pushed.
The scenery was WOW! The mountains were massive and scary. We saw wild brownish-red Marmots in the sandy valley.
In the evening we got to Leh, then we arrived at Jigmet guest house and hotel.
We went to a restaurant called The German Bakery. Me and Dad had vegetarian Momos, which were stuffed pastry balls, there were two other options, tuna or chicken. They were so nice I want them for breakfast every day!
